Merck PRESTIGE® PRODIGY® Horse Vaccine

For pregnant mares administer a 2 mL dose intramuscularly in the 5th, 7th and 9th months of pregnancy. Three doses are essential for primary immunization. Maiden and barren mares housed or pastured with pregnant mares should be vaccinated on the same schedule. For primary vaccination against respiratory disease administer three 2 mL doses intramuscularly at 4 to 6 week intervals. Historically, annual revaccination with this product has been recommended. The need for this booster has not been established. For advice on revaccination frequency, consult your veterinarian.

CAUTIONS: Store at 2°-8°C (35°-46°F). Shake well before using. Use entire contents when first opened. Do not mix with other products. This product has not been tested in pregnant animals. Do not vaccinate within 21 days before slaughter. Inject deep into the muscle only. Local reactions may occur at the injection sites in vaccinates, and most of these reactions resolve in 3 to 7 days following vaccination. Systemic reactions may also occur in animals following vaccination. If allergic reaction occurs, treat with epinephrine. Care should be used to avoid injecting your own fingers, hands, or other body parts. Accidental injection can cause serious local reactions. In case of human exposure, contact a physician.
