Job Duties
1. Responsible for supporting the efforts of store management through the expectations of driving sales, upholding store standards, customer service, financial responsibility, people development and event execution.
2. 3. Store Standards: Maintains store standards by walking with department manager(s) to evaluate merchandising, cleanliness, signage, and seasonal conversions for each department that reports to this position. Creates task lists that include goals for each department/ department manager. Follows up on work results.
4. Merchandising: Will work with the buying staff in a professional and courteous manner to work toward the shared goal of a strategically merchandised department that will result in increased profitability for which managers and buyers are equally responsible.
5. Driving Sales: Ensuring departments are adequately stocked through transfers, daily RDI review, identifying out of stocks daily by communicating with the buying staff.
6. Customer Service: Promotes customer service through developing people through strategic hiring practices, evaluating performance, coaching and training and accurate scheduling.
7. Performs a variety of duties personally and/or coaches Department Heads/Employees who are responsible to carry out the specific duties. Duties could include preparing merchandise displays, receiving merchandise, etc.
8. Maintains store staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning monitoring, and appraising job results.
9. Upholds and maintains Human Resource policies and procedures by complying with and consistently applying all company policies and procedures by reading and understanding the Employee Handbook including all updates and all management policies and procedures.
10. Responsible for opening and closing the store when schedules dictate and according to established procedures.
11. Fiscal responsibility to include integrity of cash register balances, safe balances, and deposits.
12. Responsible for supporting the individual Department Managers.
13. Providing fill-in coverage when staffing levels are not adequate.
14. Assist Department Managers and associates with customer complaints/issues.
15. Continually strive to keep current on product knowledge.
16. Maintain professional conduct with co-workers and peers and represent Shipton’s Big R in a positive and professional manner both on and off the job.
Minimum Requirements
1. Preferred 3-5 years retail experience.

All shipments must be brought to a staging area and separated by vendor.  Packing slips must be gathered and the corresponding bill of lading documents attached. Notification to the vendor is required for missing packing slips.  Identify each vendor shipment with the PO number and date received.

Responsible for balancing shipment quantities with the packing list following a prescribed procedure. 

Responsible for entering the receipt of merchandise into the computer system following a detailed receiving procedure.

Responsible for recognizing overages and following the prescribed procedures.

Job Duties
 
1.     Provide excellent customer service by greeting all walk-in customers and assisting them with equipment service needs and/or answering questions regarding new products.

2.     Answering all incoming phone calls and assisting phone customers with their needs.

3.     Cashier Duties – Perform sales transactions into Point of Sales System by entering sales of parts by SKU number, or work order sales.  Process sale to completion including verification of check information for approval, acceptance of cash, processing credit cards, and printing final receipt and invoice. 

4.     Customer Credit – Once trained, responsible for processing a zero interest program sale through Synchrony Financial.  This requires entry of a customer application and sales information into the Business Center Site to obtain approval for customer financing. 

5.     Provide reports and information to bookkeepers as needed.

6.     Work Orders – Responsible for partnering with Shop Technicians to create customer work orders, maintain open WO files and enter WO information into an excel spreadsheet to record and track all open and closed work orders.  Contacts customers in a timely manner when WOis complete managing the process until the customer picks up their equipment.

7.     Ordering parts on vendor websites as directed by technicians to complete service on all types of equipment.  Responsible for expediting and tracking order to ensure it is shipped and received.  Once received, ensure timely delivery to the tech in charge of the particular Work Order job.

8.     Merchandising– Ensure parts we regularly carry are ordered and peg hooks/shelves replenished.  Ensure merchandise is dusted and faced.

9.     Submitting warranty work to the proper vendor. 

10. Keep current with product information and knowledge to effectively communicate with the customer about their product. 

11. Keeping the area around the cash register neat and clean through daily sweeping andorganization.


12. Assembling and preparing products for sale during slow times of day and during slow seasons (winter).

Job Duties
 
1.     Provide excellent customer service by greeting all walk-in customers and assisting them with equipment service needs and/or answering questions regarding new products.

2.     Answering all incoming phone calls and assisting phone customers with their needs.

3.     Cashier Duties – Perform sales transactions into Point of Sales System by entering sales of parts by SKU number, or work order sales.  Process sale to completion including verification of check information for approval, acceptance of cash, processing credit cards, and printing final receipt and invoice.

6.     Work Orders – Responsible for partnering with Shop Technicians to create customer work orders, maintain open WO files and enter WO information into an excel spreadsheet to record and track all open and closed work orders.  Contacts customers in a timely manner when WOis complete managing the process until the customer picks up their equipment.

7.     Ordering parts on vendor websites as directed by technicians to complete service on all types of equipment.  Responsible for expediting and tracking order to ensure it is shipped and received.  Once received, ensure timely delivery to the tech in charge of the particular Work Order job.

8.     Merchandising– Ensure parts we regularly carry are ordered and peg hooks/shelves replenished.  Ensure merchandise is dusted and faced.

9.     Submitting warranty work to the proper vendor. 

10. Keep current with product information and knowledge to effectively communicate with the customer about their product. 

11. Keeping the area around the cash register neat and clean through daily sweeping andorganization.


12. Assembling and preparing products for sale during slow times of day and during slow seasons (winter).

Job Responsibilities 

Providing outstanding customer service is the primaryand most important job duty in this position.  Employees are required to follow the company’s Customer First program in a friendly andengaging manner. 

ATF Compliance – Will complete and follow the company’s policy/procedure on every firearmsale/transaction. Fish and Game Licenses – Responsible for accurately documenting and performing the cash register transaction according to company policy/procedure.

Cashier responsibilies – Will complete cashier duties according to the company’scashiering policy/procedure. 

Cleaning – Will provide a clean, clutter free and organized department by ensuring  that the following is performed on a daily basis; display case glass is cleaned, trash removal, dusting section by section.  Will make sure aisles are free of clutter/garbage and floors are swept on a daily basis and mopped as needed.   

Merchandising - Responsible for carrying out department merchandising standards by replenishing in-stocks on a daily basis, and bringing new freight to the floor followingyour manager’s direction.  Make sure product is faced.Pricing – Will ensure scanner tagging is completed correctly on new merchandise, price changes (mark-ups, mark-downs) are completed on a weekly basis and signage is currentand correct.  

Signage – Responsible for making and displaying signs according to the company’s sign program.

Minimum Requirements

Must be 18 years of age.

Able to carry out all job duties in a safe manner following the company’s safety policy.
Have the ability to engage customers in conversation through speech, hearing and social skills.

Have some product knowledge and/or the ability to learn.
