Italian Carniolan Hybrid Bees with Mated Queen

Italian Carniolan Hybrid Bees bees are a favorite among new beekeepers because they are hardy and have a sizeable foraging range. Quickly adapting to changes in their environment, they thrive in urban areas. They are exceptionally docile and well-suited for colder northern climates. They are also known for their early spring population explosions at the first sign of pollen.

The 3 LB package of Italian Carniolan Hybrid Bees has a queen (in her cage) and approximately 10,000 bees. It is not an established colony, and you will have to slowly integrate the queen into the worker bees so they'll accept her. Simple to introduce, check with your local apiarist for more details on hive introduction

A limited number of bees are available for purchase each year. Get yours while supplies last! Bees will be delivered to Shipton Big R West between the last week of April and the first week in May (subject to change at any time), and you will be contacted before their arrival so you can make plans to pick them up from the location of your purchase.
